It seems to me like it could offset a lot of development risk if more expensive games could be ported over so that friends can play together. For example, I played Minecraft with some friends that don't have a Rift. I know the VR audience is small, but I can't help but feel like games that allow people to play with AND without an HMD make a lot of sense. ![]() ![]() I know it has been said in this sub a lot that games are best built from the ground up for VR, but Telltale games seem like they would work fairly easily on a port (since the gameplay mechanics are so simple). I'm no expert, but I think this game would work best in 3rd person like Edge of Nowhere. As I was playing Wolf, I thought to myself how amazing it would be to solve the mystery in VR. The pack had Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, and both seasons of Walking Dead. I have had to scratch my gaming itch on my Xbox One S, so I purchased the pack of Telltale games for like $33 on the Spring sale. It got me thinking about storytelling in VR. I have had guests staying in my VR room for about a month for medical reasons and haven't been able to play (soon I will be free once more).
